This book is important to the production process because Delagrange discusses creating a space that invites exploration. If we keep in mind that “[o]bjects have meaning (and an object can be a thing or a concept) not because of what they are, but because of what they are connected to” (139), then we are able to help the viewer / reader eventually make those connections. Delagrange encourages “affinity-through-juxtaposition and affinity as part of a whole” (151) which connects back to the concept of a Wunderkammer. Adding the visual removes the “centric” from logocentric text and allows student and audience to produce on multiple levels.
